Tuner
Each size is set at 390, 1440 and 2560px, and grows in a straight line between them. Designers draw at 390 and 1440. The 2560 column says how much further type grows on the largest screens.
Sizes, in px
| Step | Mobile 390 | Desktop 1440 | Large 2560 | Own value | Today 2560 | Checks |
|---|
100% carries on at the same rate. 0% stops growing at 1440px. A step that is flat below 1440px stays flat. To set a 2560 size yourself, type it in: that ticks “Own value”, and the dial then leaves it alone. Untick it to go back to the dial’s size.
Speeds up: grows faster on big screens than on small ones, which is why pages feel huge on a large monitor. Order: dips below the next step in its family. Zoom: largest is over 2.5 times smallest, so 200% zoom may not double it. Small: under 12px.
